When
you think about tattoo art and piercings
only one name comes to mind… Sameer
Patange
At an early age of 25, sameer has achieved
great repute and status as one of the most
renowned tattoo artists in the country.Art
was always a hobby for sameer ever since
his school days, so it was a natural transition
to turn his hobby into his profession. But
it was not an easy process.
But life and fate had other plans. As the
years progressed, sameer was getting more
and more proficient with the art of tattooing
AND AT THE END OF 2 AND A HALF YRS started
single handedly managing Dr. kohiyars tattoo
studio and gaining recognition as a young
and talented upcoming artist.
By the time he was 20,
sameer was in the news all over, leading
a busy life as a tattoo artist, and providing
vocals and singing for his death metal band
deflesh in his free time.
He continued to work with Dr. kohiyar for
another 5 years, before parting way to set
up his own studio. While running it, he
was approached by leading stylist and hairdresser
hakim aalim to collaborate with him at his
salon. Soon sameer was running his parlor
at hakim’s Aalim at carter road bandra.
Sameer continued to work at aalims, tattooing
celebrities such as sanjay dutt, urmila
matonkar, rohit roy and rahul nanda to name
a few.
In may 2007, after almost 2 years at aalims,
sameer started his own studio by the name
of Kraayonz in Bandra and also has a branch
studio in goa. With over 10,000 tattoos
and counting till date, sameer is living
his dream, a feat few people can boast of
achieving.
